Title: Neuromorphic Architectures for Brain-computer Interfaces and Embodied AI

Abstract: Wearable and implantable brain-computer interfaces (w/iBCIs) are promising approaches to make a difference on sensing, treatment and prediction of complex Neurodegenerative diseases.

Integrated Neuroelectronics are intended for closed-loop neuromodulation as well other embodied AI. These applications require fast and very low-power neuromorphic engines. Implemented to continuously operate without stop, these devices contain large channel counts to either acquire data from brain neural regions and from environments or activate various functions. We cover in this talk

multimodal w/iBCI platforms grouping massively parallel neurorecording channels, as well as corresponding neuromorphic processing engine. For these systems’ implementation and validation, we deal with multidimensional design challenges such as miniaturisation, reliability, safety, self-powered operation, and high-data rate wireless communication. Application case studies will include Language decoding, enhancing vision, and self-driving cars.
